Russia’s State Transport Leasing Co (STLC) has opened a domestic tender for 11 general cargoships at a maximum cost of RUB 12.9bn ($175m).
The potential order for the RSD59-type river-sea carriers follows a contract for 11 similar vessels at Nizhny Novgorod-based shipbuilder Krasnoye Sormovo in 2019.
The tender closes on 30 May and envisions delivery in batches of two 8,150-dwt ships until October 2022.
