Russia has blockaded two Ukrainian ports in the Azov Sea as a territorial dispute escalated, it has been claimed.
Ukraine said Berdyansk and Mariupol have been closed to merchant shipping.
Its infrastructure minister Volodymyr Omelyan said on Facebook that 35 vessels had been prevented from carrying out normal operations.
Only ships heading to Russian ports on the Azov Sea were permitted entry, he added.
