Enterprises Shipping & Trading is said to have bought its first vessel in more than two years in an apparent effort to take advantage of the current weak secondhand bulker market.
European and US brokers said the Victor Restis-controlled shipowner has purchased the 178,000-dwt Gotia (built 2012) from German owner Orion Bulkers.
The Greek company paid just $23m, the sources said.
