Freight forward agreements for panamax bulk carriers were jolted back to life on Wednesday, ostensibly in anticipation of an upturn in the physical market.
July contracts for panamaxes on Wednesday closed $1,632 higher than the previous day at $34,782 per day.
Likewise, August contracts were up by just over $1,625 from Tuesday and settled at $35,075 per day.
