German shipowner Oldendorff Carriers says it is planning a "rare" christening event in Japan — the naming of four new ships in two hours.
The ceremonies will take place at Oshima Shipbuilding on 10 March.
The bulkers are the 100,000-dwt Dietrich Oldendorff and the 62,500-dwt sisters Beate Oldendorff, Benjamin Oldendorff and Britta Oldendorff.
Chairman Henning Oldendorff's wife Beate Oldendorff will christen her namesake, while their three daughters Lucy, Linda and Lily will name the other vessels.
