Danish bulker and tanker owner Norden is planning to run an increasing number of its vessels on waste vegetable oil.
CEO Jan Rindbo told Bloomberg that it tested the alternative bunker source this year and will roll it out in 2019, with more widespread use in 2020.
"There are issues around scalability, and these are early stages, but we do think it could be part of the solution," he added.
