Norden is branching out into port logistics and has signed a deal with to operate a transshipment facility for manganese mining company Comilog in Gabon.
The Danish shipowner-operator will invest around $40m in the project and has signed a 10-year agreement with Comilog, which is part of French metallurgical group Eramet.
The investments will be made in tugs, barges and chartering in a floating transfer station from an unnamed tonnage provider.
