Nissen Kaiun has sold one of its newest capesize bulkers in a deal that suggests positive sentiment in the freight market is being reflected in asset prices.
Reports connecting the ship with Idan Ofer’s Eastern Pacific are, however, understood to be off the mark.
Multiple shipbrokers are reporting the 181,300-dwt Bulk Asia (built 2014) to have been sold to Singapore-based Eastern Pacific at a price of $40.5m.
