US-listed Navios Maritime Partners crossed into profit in the first quarter of 2021, boosted by freight-rate increases for its bulkers and containerships and considerable gains from affiliated companies.
Its net income climbed to $137.7m from a loss of $10.7m in the same period last year. While the results of affiliated company Navios Maritime Containers, which Navios Partners absorbed on 31 March, lifted profit to $151.95m.
