Japan's MOL is bringing in an artificial intelligence (AI) expert as a consultant on digitalisation.
It has agreed a deal to hold regular advisory and internal review meetings with Professor Tomoharu Nagao of the Yokohama National University graduate school of environment and information sciences.
He is the creator of next-generation AI advanced machine learning and the "percolative" learning method, which is a way of increasing forecasting accuracy.
