Berge Bulk has tapped Kongsberg Maritime to help it in its $1bn decarbonisation push.
The Singapore bulker owner said on Tuesday that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Kongsberg to evaluate emerging decarbonisation technologies for use at sea and integrating new and existing technology for Berge Bulk’s fleet.
“Berge Bulk is actively engaged in identifying new emerging technology trends to help us reach our zero-carbon goals,” chief executive James Marshall said in a statement announcing the agreement.
