Greek bulker owner Kassian Maritime has taken another fleet renewal move by selling a 16-year-old panamax less than a month after tying up a modern Chinese-controlled ship.
European shipbrokers say the Pappadakis family-controlled company is selling the 75,000-dwt Rave (built 2001) to a Chinese buyer for more than $8.3m, which is in line with market expectations.
Kassian bought the Hyundai Samho-built ship from Reederei Nord in January 2014 as Trave for $16.3m.
