Japanese giant K Line is believed to have sold a capesize bulker in an off market deal.
Shipbrokers are reporting that the 185,800-dwt Cape Med (built 2006) has been cashed in for $20.6m.
This is above the $19.43m that VesselsValue has against the Kawasaki-built ship.
Sale and purchase specialists tell TradeWinds the deal was potentially signed in December when the freight market was stronger, thus assisting the price.
