Japan’s Doun Kisen is said to have returned to Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering for ultramax bulk carrier newbuildings.
The shipbuilding price of the 63,500-dwt vessels is believed to be the lowest-priced deal to have been signed in the last 12 months.
Shipbuilding sources said the privately-owned shipping company has ordered four 63,500-dwt bulk carriers at the Jiangsu-based shipyard for delivery in 2025.
