Reederi H Vogemann is said to have returned to China’s Hengli Heavy Industry to extend a series of capesize bulker newbuildings.
Shipbuilding sources said the German shipowner had raised the number of 180,000-dwt capesizes at the Chinese shipyard to eight, up from the four vessels ordered last year.
Delivery of the latest quartet is slated for 2026 and 2027 and its earlier vessels between mid-2025 and the first quarter of 2026.
