Greek bulker owner Gourdomichalis Maritime has sold one of its newest vessels.
European shipbrokers said the company has sold the 56,000-dwt Kavo Platanos (built 2011) to a Chinese buyer for $9.4m, which is slightly more than expected.
The vessel has been in the company’s fleet since it was ordered at CSC Jingling in June 2009. It is due for special survey next month.
