Globus Maritime has placed orders for two more ultramax bulker newbuildings as it removes ageing supramax bulkers from its fleet.
The move comes after the Greek outfit announced orders for three ultramax newbuildings in May last year.
The New York-listed owner of nine bulkers has ordered two fuel-efficient, 64,000-dwt vessels from “a reputable shipyard in Japan” for a total cost of $75.5m.
