One of Italy’s best known shipping names claims the US fund that bought his fleet has pocketed the cash at the expense of the local shipping community.
Former shipowner Giuseppe Bottiglieri feels sadly vindicated after the sale of the last two bulkers in the 15-strong fleet by US-based Bain Capital Credit and fears for the liquidation of the 172-year-old company that bears his name.
