Brokers have tied Genco Shipping & Trading to the purchase of three Navigare Capital Markets secondhand ultramaxes in a deal that would confirm further escalation of bulker values.
The sources said New York-listed Genco is paying around $72m for the Chinese-built trio, which TradeWinds has reported were being circulated for sale on 30 June. They are the 63,000-dwt Navigare Bellus, Navigare Beatus (both built 2017) and the Navigare Bonitas (built 2014).
