Greek owner Eurobulk is believed to be boosting its fleet with a 14-year old Japanese-built panamax bulker.
Brokers say the Sanoyas-built 75,000-dwt Star of Nippon (built 2004) has been purchased for $9.8m.
Eurobulk declined to comment when contacted by TradeWinds. The Star of Nippon is due for special survey in March next year.
