The European Union will begin imposing tariff countermeasures against the US from next week.
“Duties will start being collected as of 15 April,” said the European Commission, the bloc’s executive, in a statement on Wednesday.
The announcement was made after representatives of EU member states coming together in the EU Council voted in favour of a set of countermeasures proposed earlier by the commission.
