Empros Lines has moved on an eight-year-old ultramax, as part of an expansion plan that is easier now that more such units are becoming available on the secondhand market.
Managers at the Greek company confirmed that clients acquired the 61,500-dwt Shiny Halo (built 2011) last week. They declined to comment on the price of the transaction, which some brokers reported as $16.5m.
