Rates fell widely across dry bulk shipping amid weakened demand this week, but the futures market is showing better days ahead, analysts say.
The weighted time charter equivalent (TCE) average for capesizes declined to $14,441 per day from $15,550 per day, according to Baltic Exchange assessments.
The average rate for the benchmark China-Brazil round voyage slid to $12,673 per day from $14,467 per day.
