Two bulk carriers owned by Diana Shipping have won new long-term contracts with major charterers.
Oldendorff Carriers has fixed Diana's 87,150-dwt post-panamax Electra (built 2013) for 11 to 13 months, which started on Friday, Diana said in a release on Friday.
The vessel is earning a gross charter rate of $10,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, which is a sizeable reduction on what the vessel was earning during its previous contract.
