Chinese customs authorities in Dalian have reportedly banned Australian coal imports as relations between the countries deteriorate.
An unnamed official at Dalian Port Group told Reuters the terminal will also cap overall coal imports this year from any country to 12m tonnes.
Dalian handled about 14m tonnes in 2018, half of which was from Australia, according to Orient Futures analyst Gu Meng.
