Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has added a third multipurpose pulp carrier newbuilding at a sister yard.
The company said in a statement on Wednesday that it had declared an option for the 62,000-dwt vessel at Cosco Dalian in China.
The original deal earlier this year included just the one option that had to be firmed up by 29 December.
Cosco said: "After careful study by the company, in order to seize the opportunities for the development of the global pulp trade and further open up the pulp and paper transportation market, the company has decided to exercise its option."
