More than a tonne of cocaine has been found hidden in the hold of a German bulker in France.
The AFP news agency cited operational and police sources as saying the drugs, worth several tens of millions of dollars, were seized on 1 October on the 30,800-dwt handysize Trudy (built 2009) at the port of Dunkirk.
The Liberian-flagged vessel had been diverted to the port on the basis of information gathered by investigators.
