Singapore-based shipowner China Navigation is concluding an asset-play deal on a one-year-old Chinese-built handysize bulker.
Shipbrokers in Europe and the US said the company has sold the 38,000-dwt Newchang (built 2017) to compatriot Berge Bulk for a firm $18.9m.
China Navigation bought the Huanghai Shipbuilding-constructed vessel as the Venezia from FH Bertling of Germany before delivery in November 2016 for $15.4m.
