Hong Kong-based bulker owner Chellaram Shipping has fetched a higher-than-expected price for a Japanese-built, 11-year-old supramax bulker.
US brokers said the company has sold the 56,000-dwt Darya Mahesh (built 2008) for $12.5m, which is described as a “top dollar” price.
