Eagle Bulk Shipping has become the first US-listed and US-based shipowner to adopt a new initiative from bulk players to improve emissions reporting.
Connecticut-based Eagle Bulk has become a signatory to the Sea Cargo Charter, which requires shipowners to share fuel and tonnage data with charterers.
The regime was adopted recently by Shell, Cargill and 15 other dry and wet cargo trading companies and ship operators.
