Ports in Brazil, China and Australia are getting further backed up with capesize bulkers, taking a significant number of the ships offline, according to brokers.
About 100 capesizes are waiting at ports in China, up from 76 vessels last week, Clarksons data show.
Meanwhile, Australia has 94 capesizes clogging up its export terminals due to cyclone impact, more than doubling from last week.
