The 2022 outlook for dry cargo shipping could be even better than 2021, according to the chief executive of bulker platform C Transport Maritime.
A big clue is the fact that Brazilian iron-ore cargoes are absent from the current market, yet capesizes seem to be doing fine, John Michael Radziwill told TradeWinds.
“I think what is really encouraging is you still have capes at $15,000 a day without Brazil, and you have the minor bulks — panamax and down — at between $25,000 and $30,000 a day and, again, that’s with a big portion of the capesize pie not there,” he said.
