BHP has posted a 1% increase in iron ore production to 131m tonnes for the half year ended 31 December 2024, figures released 21 January show.
“Western Australia Iron ore (WAIO) shipped record half-year tonnes through the port, enabled by supply chain improvements following the completion of major debottlenecking at the port,” said BHP chief executive Mike Henry.
Meanwhile, steelmaking coal production also increased.
