Greece’s Bariba Corp has found buyers for up to three supramax bulkers in its dwindling fleet, brokers report.
The Athens-based company last month circulated for sale its entire fleet of five supramaxes and two panamaxes. Market sources say it was initially trying to sell all these units en bloc but soon changed track, adopting a piecemeal approach instead.
The first ship to go was the 56,600-dwt Privaegean (built 2011), which went to US-listed Star Bulk Carriers at a price of between $10m and $10.5m.
