ArcelorMittal Shipping has confirmed one of its ships was involved in a bunker spill in Gibraltar Bay.
A spokesman said there was a "limited release of fuel oil" from the 93,200-dwt bulker AM Ghent (built 2011) during a refuelling operation at 6am on 12 February.
"Bunkering operations ceased immediately and crew commenced deck cleaning operations," the spokesman said in an email.
