Sales-and-purchase activity in the capesize market has been heating up since late 2023 with VesselsValue listing about 90 having been sold so far this year.
Drewry, in a report published on Tuesday, said transactions from the first five months of the 2024 doubled year on year from the same period in 2023, and exceeded the annual transactions of 2020, 2021 and 2022.
