Another seven large boxships are being added to a containership investment vehicle formed by Greece’s Poseidon Container Holdings and Euroseas.
It follows the $104m acquisition by George Youroukos-controlled Poseidon of seven of the largest boxships in the fleet of Diana Containerships.
Poseidon is understood to be buying six post-panamaxes from Diana.
These comprise the 6,500-teu Hamburg (built 2009), Rotterdam (built 2008), Puelo and Pucon (both built 2006), and the 5,576-teu March and Great (both built 2004).
