Turkey’s Yildirim Holding is planning to invest $750m in taking over Ecuador's Puerto Bolivar terminal.
A framework agreement has been signed in the capital Quito, according to the Turkish state-run Anadolu news agency, citing chairman Yuksel Yildirim.
A final deal should be in place by April.
Puerto Bolivar is a major export point for Ecuador's banana crop.
In September last year, Yildirim agreed to pay more than EUR 330m ($370m) for 100% control of Portuguese ports and logistics company Tertir.
