Idan Ofer’s move for scrubber-fitted feeder containerships could be even larger than previously thought.
TradeWinds reported last week Ofer’s XT Shipping has booked a pair of 1,800-teu ships at Hyundai Mipo with options for two more.
The move was seen as part of a wider punt on the feeder container sector ahead of incoming 2020 emissions laws with XT also eyeing up to 10 larger 2,700-teu vessels in China.
