Israel’s XT Shipping has added two more feeder boxship newbuildings at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD), bringing its total of 1,800-teu vessels at the yard to six.
Shipbuilding sources say the Idan Ofer-led company signed up for the pair of newbuildings at the end of last month but the deal went unreported.
Officials at HMD declined to comment on the reports, citing contract confidentiality.
