Maersk veteran Tim Wickmann has been appointed as the new managing director for Asia for the World Shipping Council (WSC).
He most recently served as chief executive of intra-Asia liner specialist MCC Transport and has held various senior positions in liner shipping for the last 30 years.
“The liner shipping industry is a global network and therefore needs consistent regulatory treatment across the globe,” said WSC chief executive John Butler.
