Greek and German boxship owners are at the vanguard of a small group of players looking to use the recovery of the container shipping market to tap into public markets.
Among them are Oslo-listed MPC Container Ships (MPCC).
Like Euroseas and Poseidon Container, MPCC is focusing on smaller containerships that are more likely to trade in the spot market.
In the past week, MPCC acquired another three: the 2,846-teu HS Onore (built 2006), and the 2,556-teu Rio Teslin and Rio Thelon (both built 2004).
