The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen is to launch an offensive to reclaim the key port of Hodeidah from Houthi rebels.
Reuters reported its forces are determined to help Yemen's government retake all areas held by the militia.
Around 80% of Yemen's food imports arrive via Hodeidah.
The United Nations has said fighting there would cause more suffering.
In a statement to Reuters, a coalition source said that military operations were progressing well.
