The owner looks likely to run a new route between Bulgaria’s Varna and Port Kavkaz in Russia when it kicks off in 2009.
The Pari daily claimed a deal was signed opening the way to the route when Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin visited Sofia earlier this year.
BRS, bought by Bulgaria's Chimimport in 2006, is considering buying new vessels that meet the technical requirements for the ferry line.
