Container industry veteran Ray Miles has died after a short illness. He was 71.
Miles started in the industry in 1972 with Ocean Transport & Trading, then moved to Barber Blue Sea, before joining CP Ships, then called Canada Maritime, in 1988.
CP Ships acquired eight other shipping lines during Miles' watch: ANZDL, Cast, CCAL, Contship, Italia Line, Ivaran, Lykes and TMM.
