Portugal could become the westernmost end of China’s Maritime Silk Road thanks to a second container terminal at the deepwater port of Sines.
“It is impossible for China to reach Europe without passing through the westernmost country in Europe,” says Ana Paula Vitorino, Portugal's minister of the sea.
