The Panama Canal will increase daily booking slots available for neo-panamax vessels from six to seven effective 1 December.
The seven daily booking slots for neo-panamax vessels are offered in addition to the 23 slots available each day for transit through the panamax locks.
The Panama Canal Authority says the demand and more efficient operations on the larger locks allowed the new slot, said Jorge Quijano, administrator for the Canal Authority.
