Idan Ofer is lining up a major feedership newbuild project that would mark a substantial investment in scrubber-fitted ships ahead of new 2020 emissions laws.
Two firm vessels are believed to have been placed in South Korea, with options for two more. The order is the first step in the project that could run to 14 ships with a combined price tag of $460m.
