An NYK-owned car carrier avoided hijacking after coming under fire in the Indian Ocean on Tuesday, TradeWinds has learned.
The attack on the 5,066-car-capacity Delphinus Leader occurred about 100 miles from where an Italian aframax tanker was seized by pirates just hours before.
