Japan's Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) is combining two boxship runs in Asia.
The NKX (Strait/India/Pakistan Service) and CHS3 (Japan/Hong Kong/Strait Service) strings will be merged into a new loop called HSX (Japan/Strait/India Service).
This creates a direct link between Japan/Vietnam and West Coast India/Pakistan.
"MOL is determined to develop a reliable and punctual service with multiple service recovery plans prepared for unexpected situations (for example, port congestion or rough weather)," it said.
